ERCOT Plant Economics

What each unit earned and what it cost to run, day by day, from the 60-day disclosures: output at the unit's own node price, day-ahead awards and ancillary services against fuel, variable and start-up costs on a cost basis you choose.

How revenue is counted

Energy revenue uses hourly mean prices and output, so it differs a little from settlement at 15-minute intervals. Node prices load a few days per update, newest first; days without them fall back to system lambda and are marked. Ancillary service revenue is the DAM award at the DAM clearing price (real-time AS awards under real-time co-optimization are not in the disclosures yet). Start-up costs count the hot start offer for every start; a unit off long enough for an intermediate or cold start cost more. Submitted offers are capped by ERCOT's cost verification, so the offer basis is an upper bound on what the unit said its energy was worth, not an audited cost.

Units

Every unit of the technology over the loaded days. Click a column to sort and a unit to see its days. Margin is energy plus ancillary revenue minus fuel, variable and start costs on the chosen bases; it leaves out fixed costs, so it is the contribution to them.
